After going through countless of tutorials and exercises, I have created my very own picture by editing my previous semester photo. Previously, I used to follow those tutorials from the website,despite during my third semester break i intentionally create my own idea of editing a photo. I believe many beginners tend to follow those tutorials and end up to learn nothing. I can't deny I'm one of them before but after taking several practices, I realize is time to have my own style or in other word, my own thinking towards design.

When the moment I editing this picture, I eventually comes out a lot of ideas. I tried to interpret them try to fit them into my photo. During editing this photo, I faced couple of problems. I learnt from my mistake and correct them up. Maybe it's not a professional artwork but I'm sure this exercise sure gave me a valuable lesson.

My third semester break

Time goes fast. I have been studying diploma for almost a year. Within this 1 year, i have learned various kind of stuff not only education but value. I have learned how to interact with my classmates, how to be a leader, how to present ourselves and so on. I can't deny I enjoy my time in class, no matter with classmates or lecturer.Therefore, during my third semester break, I have organized a small genting trip with my classmates. After having a hesitate semester, I think is time to have some leisure time with my friends. The photo above was taken on first day while everyone was queuing up for the game.

Looks like Ryan and SiewHoong were enjoying both of their time on the lake.(ROmantic ^^)

As for another side,MingChun and SooJin look kind of nervous and frighten by other boat.

The making of V-awards

What's v-awards?V represent victory. Basically this awards was organized by SSSH school. This is the first year that SSSH organized this kind of event and do u guys know the story behind this event? I believe this event would be happening if there's no teamwork.

The story starts when Ms Kasturi offered me to attend the v-award meeting. The reason why Ms Kasturi sent me to the meeting is because she need few students to gain informations from the members of this event. It's kind of confuse when the time I stepped into the room because in that meeting room, there's all kind of students with different course and background. After some times, a lecturer name Ms Serene came in to our room and started to brief the purpose of gathering everyone to this meeting. In this room, everyone has to stand a pose and i have been chosen as the props coordinator. The duty for props coordinator is to organize and design the stage. In addition, I need to build up a sculpture as well. The picture above is my backdrop design for the stage. It's around 245 cm x 245cm each. Why I'm using the word of each? It is because this backdrop was designed to separate into 2 parts which means there's an empty backdrop between these two graphic backdrops. The purpose of this empty backdrop is for the projector purposes.

The picture above is me and my baby, V-sculpture. This is my first time building a 200cm height sculpture and believe me, this baby really torture me when I built it.

This cute lady is the one who gathered us and taught us how to be a team, Ms Serene.

Semester 3 - Color studies

Phew.. here comes semester 3. Surprisingly, we only have two subjects in our third semester which is color studies and creative and critical thinking. Hmm..Color studies?? what's that? it sounds kind of boring to me but trust me it is not as simple as you think. After going numerous of lecturer class, I realize that our eyes do lies us. Why? For instance, if a guy has a CPD (color perception deficiency) looks on a red apple, do u think the color that he see from that apple is red??Therefore I think that sometimes we can't just judge a thing in a single angle. It mights just an illusion or a lie. We must always judge a thing from different perspectives so that we can manage to solve or understand it.

Ok. Back to my story. For our color studies final project, we need to do a game for the V-award. What's v-award? V-award is some sort of Student version of Oscar award. After battling mind, my group mates and I decided to redesign some of the fun fair games.The reason we using fun fair games is because we hope our audiences can refresh their childhood memory and draw attention from them.In addition, Ryan (one of our group members) suggested to create a video to advertise our game, we have no doubt about this media advertising can contribute some attention and at the end we aim for games plus video. Last but not least, we name our group as Inovastain means innovation + stain.

My second semester break

After busying with my second semester, i thought i can indulge myself by filling up my leisure time. Unfortunately, my friend phoned me to help him to design a boutique blog-site and be their photographer. In the that moment, i felt happy and stress. Happy - because I can learn more. Stress - ...my plan "puff"

After understanding the main concept for the boutique I start to develop my blog design. For me, this boutique job was kind of tough for me because i never write blog before and second, I have to edit the whole blog HTML sequence.

This is the brief introduction for the boutique. In other words, this boutique is using a different way to sell their outfits. Different way?? I believe everyone is getting curious on it. Actually, they are using some sort of story line to sell their outfits. Different characters represent different style of costumes.

Semester 2 - Webpage design

WANTED, the name for my final web page assignment. During my web page practical class, I have learned some basic HTML and CSS coding. Even though, we have learned the basic but our tutor requested more from us to get a better result. Therefore, I spent some time in doing some researches regrading to the coding.

Back to my final assignment, what we need to do for our final assignment is to create our shoes website. First of all, we need to design 3 themes of shoes. After that, choose one of them and paint on a white sneaker. Next regarding to these 3 shoes, we have to design a web page for our shoes.It's like some sort of advertising our shoes by using web.

Both of these sneakers represent the music theme.

As for this yellow strips sneaker represent 1m'sia theme. However, i selected this style as my representative shoes.

Lastly, this dreamy sneaker represent my dream theme.

Semester 2 - Digital Illustration2

After struggling in our individual soap box assignment, Ms Yarshi ordered us to regroup so that we can process to the next group assignment. We have our brand name as Belleza which means beauty in French. To show a feminine design, our group members had done some research towards ladies trend. After battling mind, we had decided to change our t-shirt to a dress. The reason we choose a dress template instead of t-shirt is because we think that a dress design is much more interesting and attractive. As usual we started to figure out our concept for our dress design. At the end, we decided to show the feeling of a lady. As you can see from the very beginning of our assignment 1 until now, you can realize that we are using the concept which is just for ladies, a day for lady or a special give for a lady. Our art director tends to organize and manage every group member’s job. First step for our assignment will be doing research on female dress. After doing several researches, we gather up our researches and found out that the only way to show up our graphic on our dress is to find cotton made dress which has adequate space for our graphic. Next, we started to have a rough idea for our dress design. Every group member managed to sketch their own idea and after that sort them up. After having discussion, we make our final decision for our dress design which is using a lady figure and roses on it. What we are up to is trying to show the deep thought of a lady. The emotion figure in our design defined as the shyness of a lady but at the same time, she wants to show up herself. The rose petals represent the messages send the ladies. In other words, the lady in our dress attempt to express her own words or express her feeling but she was not confident on it. Therefore, she needs to find another way to speak up her personal feeling. Our graphic might looks abstract without any explanation but we believe that after descript the purpose of this dress, it can be very meaningful, especially for ladies. Overall, our objective for this dress design is to help lady to show her personal character and also brings out another perspective view towards lady, lady might be weak but at the same time they are strong in the way of thinking.
